The US based smartphone maker, Motorola's is a rags to riches story so far from being on the verge of shutting to getting acquired by Google and then Lenovo. After being acquired by Lenovo, the brand shot to the lead in charts with its Moto series of smartphones. Last year, the handset maker came out with its third generation of Moto G and Moto X, which were a roaring success just like the prebious two iteration. Now, Motorola is all set to launch its new flagship called Motorola Moto X Force in India. Such is the hype created around the device that the brand went on to mock various flagship devices including Apple iPhone in its promos.
The handset comes with the signature design of Motorola, which we have already seen on the Moto X Play. The device features metallic chassis with premium diamond pattern design on the polycarbonate rear panel that houses the metallic strip housing the camera module and dimpled Motorola logo. However, the USP of the handset lies in the display of the device that we will cover in the next pointer.
Motorola has equipped the new handset with a large 5.5-inch display that is ideal for multimedia and gaming. Moreover, the display is designated with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which means users have Quad HD resolution at their disposal. However, the USB pf the handset is that the display is shatterproof owing to the Motorola's ShatterShield technology. So confident is Motorola about the display that its offering a 4 Year's warrant on display damages. Another highlight is the use of dual touchscreen layer in the display so that even if one layer is damaged, the display still remains functional.
Motorola is one of the first brand to update its smartphones to latest Android operating system and therefore the user experience is always top notch. The new device comes with the last generation Android Lollipop (5.1) operating system out of the box with near stock Android interface. The device will also receive the latest Android Marshmallow update from the manufacturer.
Performance and Battery Life
The Octa-core processor resting inside the handset boasts of a massive clock speed of 2 GHz, which ensures a smooth and efficient performance. There is 3 GB of RAM in the handset that ensures that the processor is performing at its best at all times. The device lasts considerably longer as it has been equipped with a 3760 mAh battery.
Moto X Force comes with the same camera setup as was found on the last year's Moto X Style and it is pretty impressive. The rear panel of this handset houses a powerful 21 mp primary camera that is more than enough to replace your DSLR in day to day photography. Furthermore, there is a 5 Megapixels camera on the front panel for the benefit of selfie lovers.
This handset comes with dual SIM feature and support for 4G LTE as well as 3G, which is considered to be a USP by a majority of buyers. The handset also features majority of existing connectivity options like NFC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, microUSB and GPS.
Motorola has been harbinger of several new age technology including water resistance, Active display notifications and immediate Android updates. Moto X Force also reinforce the position of the brand in the Indian market. The shatterproof display of the handset will be lauded by many in India, however, the speculated price tag of the handset is too steep and might discourage users.
