On the very first look, iPhone 5s looks like a carbon copy of its last year's flagship Model, iPhone 5. The good news is that it do carry several good changes within its features and functionalities. Also, iPhone 5s is the first device with 64-bit support, capacitative fingerprint sensor and revamped version of iOS.
iPhone 5s's aluminum chassis and chamfered edges is same as that of iPhone 5. Apart from this similarity, each and every button of iPhone 5s is similar to iPhone 5. Even the measurement (123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6mm) and weight (3.95 ounces) is unchanged.
Likewise, the 5s features a 4-inch, 1,136 x 640 Retina display that carries a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch, along with 800:1 contrast ratio. Again, more of the same like iPhone 5.
If we talk about the differences in both these phones then the notable change is the new Touch ID fingerprint scanner, which is embedded into the home screen of iPhone 5s. Then; there is a dual LED flash at the back; which is new in iPhone 5s. Another change is the all new Apple's A7 chip along with a processor of 64 Bit support.
Last but not the least, Apple introduced an improved iSight rear camera and FaceTime HD front-facing shooter in iPhone 5s.
Intriguing Finger Print Sensor
The most intriguing feature in iPhone 5s is the state-of-the-art Capacitive Fingerprint Sensor; embedded in the home screen itself. The best part is that; it can memorize the impressions of up to 5 different fingers or thumbs. Also, the Touch ID feature is meant for adding more protection while purchasing the stuff from iTunes. With this feature, you can easily purchase Apps, Music and games without entering the entire password every time.
The iSight rear camera of iPhone 5s offers 8MP resolution similar to that of iPhone 5 and 4s. However, the difference is in pixel size; which is improved. There is a 33 percent increase in iPhone 5s's light sensitivity, which is meant for improving the picture quality even in dimmer settings.
Its camera is powered with an auto image stabilization feature as well. This feature is designed to click 4 images in a row and saving the pic by combining the sharpest parts of all individual shots.
If we talk about the biggest physical change in iPhone 5s then it is a dual LED flash which is also known as True Tone. It consists of both White and Ambient Flash that helps in managing the natural tempo of a click.
iPhone 5s is powered with strong 1580mAh battery which is a bit improved in comparison to 1440 mAH battery of iPhone 5. Over battery test, the iPhone 5s made it through 10 hours and 50 minutes of playback. Under normal usage, it works for one complete day and under heavy usage, it work upto 8 full hours.
